The Michigan Junior Masters Association held it 9th Annual Greater Plymouth Open on August 29-30, 2015 at the friendly confines of Plaza Lanes. As always, the entire staff made us feel welcome and gave us control of the lane machine. The 42 foot sport pattern seemed a good test for our members and a number of them rose to the challenge to post some very good scores.

Alex Ouellette (Linwood, MI) led the way on the guy’s side with a nice eight game total of 1686 with Dylin Hunter (Windsor, Ont Canada) coming in a close second with 1669. The ladies were led by Brooklyn Greene (Davison, MI) with a 1499 score.

Savory Foods Fundraiser

MJMA members, it is that time of year again – Cookie Dough selling time!

This year we have added three new flavors of popcorn as well as two new cookie flavors. Our goal this year is to get to 1300 tubs to maximize the return back into MJMA to allow for more scholarship opportunities for our members to bowl for. We are asking each member to sell 10 tubs this year which will really help move us towards that goal. The kick-off will be in Plymouth at Plaza Lanes on August 29th. Order forms will be due back to us with the funds to cover your order on October 24th at Airport Lanes in Jackson. All orders will be delivered on November 14th at Royal Scot Lanes in Lansing.

The Michigan Junior Master Association opened it’s 30th season on August 8th, 2015 at our traditional center, Lodge Lanes in Belleville, Michigan. Bob Goike and his staff have been a part of the organization from the very first season and have become our season opening event for the past number of years.

The Michigan Junior Masters Association completed its 29th season in Monroe, Michigan with the Daniel C. Ottman Memorial Championships at the Monroe Sport Center. White & Richard Close Out The Regular Season With Wins In Grand Rapids

The 22nd Annual Michigan Junior Master Association Brunswick Grand Rapids Open rolled into Spectrum Lanes in Wyoming, Michigan on May 16-17, 2015. Mike Eaton and the whole team at Spectrum Lanes played great hosts yet again this year. The challenging 40 foot pattern kept a number of our members off balance but as always, a number of them found the right target zone and made enough spares in between to make the match play part of the event.
