BRADLEY, KERSTEN & JOHNSON OPEN WITH WINS IN BELLEVILLE

The Michigan Junior Masters Association kicked off its 2016-17 season in the familiar confines of Lodge Lanes in Belleville, Michigan on Saturday, August 6th. The 71 guys and girls showed up eager to build on performances at the recently completed IBC Junior Gold Championships and get the new year started off with good performances here in Belleville.

SCHEUER AND OUELLETTE CAPTURE OTTMAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Michigan Junior Masters Association completed its 29th season in Monroe, Michigan with the Daniel C. Ottman Memorial Championships at the Monroe Sport Center. The Held family once again were excellent hosts as 45 qualifiers headed into Friday nights qualifying round all with the same dream of hoisting that Championship Eagle trophy on Sunday afternoon.

WINTERS AND HUREN CAP OFF THE REGULAR SEASON WITH WINS

The final regular season event for the 2015‐16 Michigan Junior Masters Association season took place at Spectrum Lanes in Wyoming, Michigan on May 14th & 15th. A smaller field of 72 bowlers came from all over the state to compete on the 42 foot sport pattern and try to earn a banner and their share of the scholarship opportunities.

RICHARDS MAKES HER RETURN TO MJMA WITH A WIN IN GRAND BLANC

Jordan Richard (Tecumseh, MI) made her return to Michigan Junior Masters from college at the 25th Annual Greater Grand Blanc Open. After being gone from competition for some time she picked right where she left of by winning her 16th MJMA title. It was not easy though as the rest of the field was trying to make their own mark as well.

MCCLAIN AND GAINOR GLOW AT CANDLELITE BOWL

The 21st annual Candlelite Classic proved to be another tough test for the Michigan Junior Masters Association members. The 43 foot oil pattern challenged everyone again and add the guardian surface they also have to contend with, the scoring pace was challenged from start to finish.

After the six games of qualifying, Marcus McClain (Lincoln Park, MI) and Taylor Davis (Burton, MI) led the way shooting 1232 and 1169 respectively. As we advanced to the matchplay portion, twelve boys and 8 girls looked forward to the two game total pins elimination rounds.
